Who is this programme for?

This qualification is suitable for anyone who wants to:

  • Learn the principles of IAG,
  • Develop IAG skills and qualities,
  • Understand an advisor’s role and responsibilities,
  • Know how to prepare for, and deliver, IAG
  • Improve their communication and feedback skills

Entry requirements:
There are no entry requirements for this programme but you will need to be able to express yourself clearly both verbally and in writing. You may be asked to complete a pre-programme task to ensure you are able to complete the programme.

Date:               You can start this programme at any time after induction by phone or face to face

Venue:            Topps and or your workplace

The programme covers the following:

  • understanding IAG and it’s scope and limitations
  • legal aspects and codes of practice
  • advisor tools and techniques
  • delivering IAG in practice
  • reflection on and developing an action plan for improving your advisor skills

Assessment is by:

  • Completion of an under-pinning knowledge workbook (guidance notes and a textbook will be provided)
  • Observation by an assessor
  • Witness testimony
  • Self-evaluation, client feedback, appraisal
  • Creation of a skills development plan
